Ragan Republican Calls for Bush's Impeachment and Conviction

Smart Republicans

Well this post called for a new category, so I made one up "Smart Republicans". Now I know what you are thinking, there are none, well I found one. I think that part of winning back America is going to have to be done from within the Republicans, and I think that we are starting to see that, thank god!

So here is what I found, Paul Craig Roberts, a the John M. Olin fellow at the Institute for Political Economy, a research fellow at the Independent Institute, and senior research fellow at the Hoover Institution, a well known and well respected conservative journalist and former Assistant Treasury Secretary under Reagan. So this guy is a die hard Republican.

This is from his website, a story titled "A Reputation in Tatters"

George W. Bush and his gang of neocon warmongers have destroyed America’s reputation. It is likely to stay destroyed, because at this point the only way to restore America’s reputation would be to impeach and convict President Bush for intentionally deceiving Congress and the American people in order to start a war of aggression against a country that posed no threat to the United States.

America can redeem itself only by holding Bush accountable.

As intent as Republicans were to impeach President Bill Clinton for lying about a sexual affair, they have a blind eye for President Bush’s far more serious lies. Bush’s lies have caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people, injured and maimed tens of thousands more, devastated a country, destroyed America’s reputation, caused 1 billion Muslims to hate America, ruined our alliances with Europe, created a police state at home, and squandered $300 billion dollars and counting.

America’s reputation is so damaged that not even our puppets can stand the heat. Anti-American riots, which have left Afghan cities and towns in flames and hospitals overflowing with casualties, have forced Bush’s Afghan puppet, “President” Hamid Karzai, to assert his independence from his U.S. overlords. In a belated act of sovereignty, Karzai asserted authority over heavy-handed U.S. troops whose brutal and stupid ways sparked the devastating riots. Karzai demanded control of U.S. military activities in Afghanistan and called for the return of the Afghan detainees who are being held at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

Go and read the rest, I am sure because of the pingback, I am going to get a lot of hate comments soon. Bring'em on I guess.

The Mandate Falls Apart, Americans Drop Republicans.

Right Wing

Well a new pool from NBC/WSJ shows "Voters dissatisfied with Bush, Congress". It looks like some Americans are finally starting to see that the Republican Campaign Against Americans is not for them.

Why would I say such a thing like that, well lets me remind you…

  • Energy Bill, Billions of Dollar to the Oil Companies, nothing for you
  • Cut’s in Farm Subsidies, Screwing there own voters
  • The Bankruptcy Bill
  • Cuts to the vets (See
  • Cuts to Medicaid and Medicare and many other social programs.

I could go on and on, the Republicans have been taken over my a small minority of American Taliban, who’s agenda has nothing to do with the needs of the average free thinking American.

Anyway, here is some snips from the story.

Perhaps the most revealing finding in the poll is the attitude toward Congress. Just 33 percent of the respondents approve of Congress’ job. That’s down 6 points since a poll in April and 8 points since January.

“The public is exceptionally displeased with the Congress,” Hart said. “It is [its] lowest set of numbers since May of 1994,” the year when congressional Republicans defeated their Democratic counterparts in the midterm elections to take control of both the House and Senate. According to this poll, by 47 percent to 40 percent the public says it would prefer Democrats controlling Congress after the 2006 elections.

McInturff, the GOP pollster, points out that Americans are upset with Congress focusing on the battle over judges, Social Security, trying to restore Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube and the ethical troubles surrounding their members, including Rep. Tom DeLay, R-Texas, instead of focusing on the economy, gas prices and health care.

“There are some core day-to-day issues that they don’t see being addressed,” he said. “The people want us to head in a different direction and hear different things.”

The survey, which polled 1,005 adults from May 12-16 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, also has some troubling findings for President Bush. Just 20 percent of those polled say the economy has gotten better over the past 12 months, an 11- point decline since January; 51 percent believe that removing Saddam Hussein from power was not worth the cost and casualties of that war; and only 36 percent support Bush’s plan to allow workers to invest their Social Security contributions in the stock market.

Respublicans say, "Screw You Old People and Crips"

Culture of Life

If you are an aficionado of politics like I do, you learn one thing real fast, if you have bad news to give to the people, wait until after 5pm on Friday. Why? Well because the Saturday paper is the most unread of the week, everyone has gone home from work, and people are busy on the weekend, by Monday it is old news.

The current administration uses this in spades, and this past Friday was no different. What did Bush drop on us, glad you asked…

If you recall, the Bush Co. pushed the Medicare drug bill some time ago. It was more or less a HUGE payoff for the drug companies. Well this Friday Bush unleashed a huge blow to the impoverished elderly, If you take the drug benefit, you will lose your food stamps.

From the San Francisco Chronicle

The new reading of the Medicare law, set forth in a document sent to congressional offices last week, comes just as federal officials begin a nationwide campaign to persuade low-income people to apply for the drug benefit.

The document, addressed to elderly and disabled people who receive food stamps, says, "You may qualify for extra help paying for your Medicare prescription drug costs." But it adds, "If you qualify for extra help, your food stamp benefits may decline."

Hazaa! Thanks Bush and the Republicans for screwing the old and disabled.

Republicans, Why do you hate Americans?

Bush, Totally Lost, Going to Kill Us All

Dumb Bush

If you are like me, a gluten for punishment, you watched the President try to sell us on his desire to destroy Social Security. I can go and pick apart most of the crap that he spoke about, but right now tons of sites are doing that, I want to go into one statement that he had last night.

Look, Kim Jong Il is a dangerous person. He's a man who starves his people. He's got huge concentration camps. And, as David accurately noted, there is concern about his capacity to deliver a nuclear weapon. We don't know if he can or not, but I think it's best, when you're dealing with a tyrant like Kim Jong Il, to assume he can.

That's why I've decided that the best way to deal with this diplomatically is to bring more leverage to the situation by including other countries.

News Flash Senior Bush, while you are dicking around with your 8 way talks North Korea has figured out how to glue the damn warhead to a missile that can hit parts of the US.

Your “plan” has failed, again…

You spoke about your ill fainted Missile Deference System that has NEVER once worked in any of the tests it does.

Your “Plan” has failed, again…

What are you going to do Mr. Bush when North Korea gets a hair in there ass and they nuke Japan, or worst Los Angeles? Does your “Plan” prepare of for the economic collapse here in the U.S. when the Japanese get bombed? How much money are we going to have to for the rebuilding of a major city on the west coast when your failed missile defense system misses, again?

You have allowed us to be more unsafe than we have ever been before, thanks to you, terror has tripled, and because of you poverty is on the march, rise in abortion is on the march, death of our solders is on the march, destruction of the Veterans Administration is on the march. You are an embarrassment to this great nation, you have made us a shell of the nation we once was, we are at our weakest point, and you relish in the power.

Republicans Say Screw the Poor.

Economic News

From Reuters

U.S. Senate and House Republicans on Thursday reached a deal on a $2.6 trillion budget plan for next year that would wring savings from some health care programs for the poor while leaving room for additional tax cuts, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Judd Gregg said.

The plan, which still must be approved by the full House and Senate, could be completed by the end of this week.

"The House will take up the budget and pass it and then we will take up the budget and pass it this week," said Gregg, a New Hampshire Republican

We are at war, we are running RECORD deficits, and the dumb asses are looking to fund more tax cuts.

If the money coming in is not as much as the money going out, then we are screwed. What the hell are these damn Republicans thinking?

Gas Co.s Make HUGE Profits, and You Get Screwed.

Economic News

Bush sucks the life out of you I am not sure if you are even able to buy gas anymore, I know it has taken a huge toll on my budget. I am one of the lucky few that drive 50 miles one way to work, everyday.

Clothing, Chickens, Bacon, Tacos, Wood, Paper, Salad Dressing, Shoe laces, you name it, it is getting more costly.

So as gas prices sore, and everything under the sun increases in price gas companies are making money hand over fist. Exxon Mobil Corp yesterday profit increased 44% higher than they were last year.

So the question is really, how much of the gas prices we are paying is really just profit, not the price of a barrel of oil.

Greenspan says Bush Spending May Doom Us All

Economic News

Do you know this guy? To many he is an economic super genius, to others he is a tool for the Bush non-economic plan. For me, the jury is out; I find that as he ages, his judgment wanes.

Anyway, he has come out today and basically slammed Congress and the Bush Administration for its hyper spending ways.

From the AP...

On the same day that Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan issued a fresh warning about the dangers of bloated budget deficits, Congress considered new tax breaks for the energy industry and an $81 billion measure to pay for U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The events Thursday illustrated the challenges — "hard choices," as Greenspan put it — that policy-makers face in trying to control spending.

Greenspan, who steadily has pressed lawmakers, told the Senate Budget Committee that unless the situation is reversed, the economy in the years ahead could "stagnate or worse."

Meanwhile, the House neared passage of legislation that would give billions of dollars in benefits to energy industries. The Senate prepared to vote on an $81 billion measure

If you Don't Like the Content, Stop Publishing it.

Dumb Bush

The Bush Administration has formed a new plan to counter the avalanch of data that is showing he is the worst presedent of all time. If you don't like the data, stop it from being published.

  • Knight-Ridder reports today that the Bush administration announced yesterday that it has "decided to stop publishing an annual report on international terrorism after the government's top terrorism center concluded that there were more terrorist attacks in 2004 than in any year since 1985, the first year the publication covered." If we are so much safer Mr. Bush, why the secrecy?
  • When unemployment was peaking in Bush's first term, the White House tried to stop publishing the Labor Department's regular report on mass layoffs. I was told by Mr. Bush that the economy was great, you mean another lie, surly you jest.
  • In 2003, when the nation's governors came to Washington to complain about inadequate federal funding for the states, the Bush administration decided to stop publishing the budget report that states use to see what money they are, or aren't, getting. That's nice, just hide the shortfalls from Americans.
  • In 2003, the National Council for Research on Women found that information about discrimination against women has gone missing from government Web sites, including 25 reports from the U.S. Department of Labor's Women's Bureau. Wow, this one is just sad.
  • In 2002, Democrats uncovered evidence that the Bush administration was removing health information from government websites. Specifically, the administration deleted data showing that abortion does not increase the risk of breast cancer from government websites. That scientific data was seen by the White House as a direct affront to the pro-life movement.

If everything is going as great as we are told, why is info being scrubbed from the web, why is the administration seeking to remove information that is contrary to it’s misguided opinion.

This nation is in a sad state, and Bush and the gang have put us there. Can we recover?

GOP Economy is Heading in the Tank, Thanks!

Economic News

Hey GOP, your economy is in the tank, and you worry about judges? When are you going to worry about real Americans?

From the AP

Wall Street suffered its worst single day in nearly two years Friday, with the Dow Jones industrial average falling 191 points for its third straight triple-digit loss. Deepening concerns over economic growth and higher prices led to the worst week of trading since August.

An already uneasy market began the biggest one-day selloff since May 19, 2003, after the Federal Reserve reported drops in manufacturing and other industrial production, and a Labor Department report showed higher oil costs driving up import prices.

The last 5 days...

Life in Bush's America

Sadly, November of 2000 put this great nation on a track of destruction. Four years later the fundamentalist whack-jobs used fear and a tangle of lies to scare people into voting for this nut bag again.
