Robert "Traitor" Novak went ape shit on CNN's Inside Politics.

Traitors in the White House

Novak is a traitor

Robert "Traitor to the Nation" Novak went nuts today on Inside Politics apparently because the next question that was going to be asked by the host was about his role in the leaking of the CIA agent...

They were talking about Right Wing nut bag Kathleen Harris and her run for Senate.

Novak: Just let me finish what I'm going to say, James, please. I know you hate to hear me -
Carville: He's got to show these right-wingers that he's got a back bone, ya know? Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching. You show ‘em you're tough...
Novak: You know I think that's bullshit. And I hate that. Just let it go.

From ThinkProgress.com

Novak Was About to Be Asked About Leak The Inside Politics host ended the Carville/Novak segment saying, "Thanks, James Carville. And I'm sorry as well that Bob Novak left the set a little early. I had told him in advance that we were going to ask about the CIA leak case, he was not here for me to be able to ask him about that. Hopefully, we'll be able to ask him about that in the future."

The Joe Scarborough Show off the Air, Hazza!

Media

JoeI placed this in the "Media" section, but I by no means think that this show is real "Media".

Maybe this is part of a larger trend, The Joe Scarborough Show is being placed on hiatus. Westwood one says it is going to relaunch the show in Jan 2006 in a "more competitive time period", I guess 10am to 1pm EST is not that great of a time slot, so they are going to shoot for the 1am to 4am time slot?

Here is the small blurb from Radio and Record...

Westwood One says The Joe Scarborough Show is officially planning on taking a break and will be relaunched "in an even more competitive time period" in January 2006. Scarborough's final program in the 10am-1pm ET live slot is set for Aug. 12. On Aug. 15, consumer advocate Tom Martino's Troubleshooter Tom Martino program shifts its start time from 11am ET to 10am ET and becomes a four-hour program ending at 2pm ET. Scarborough's daily program airs on such stations as WTNT/Washington, WALR-AM/Atlanta, KNTR/Phoenix and WWTN-FM/Nashville.

Is Bush Administration throwing Novak Under the Bus

Traitors in the White House

We are getting conflicting headlines, the NY Times has the headline "Rove Reportedly Held Phone Talk on C.I.A. Officer" reporting that Karl leaked the name of Valerie Plame to Robert Novak, fist-class Right-wing hack. The AP has posted a story titled "Rove Learned CIA Agent's Name From Novak", so I ask, is the Bush Administration going to toss Novak under the bus? Making him the "Leak". Will this backfire on the administration and Novak spill his guts?

I am not sure what is going on here, read both articles (they say near the same thing) and see what conclusion you come up with.

The UK is Also Pissed at Fox News

Right Wing

Faux NewsThe people of London are getting wind of the absolutely sick comments made by Fox News in the wake of the London disaster...

I am not sure if there is a single Fox News Personality what did not stick their foot in their mouth this week. Asshats!

From the Guardian Unlimited

Rupert Murdoch's Fox News channel was under fire yesterday for comments by some of its leading journalists in response to the London bombs.

Speaking about the reaction of the financial markets, Brit Hume, the channel's Washington managing editor, said: "Just on a personal basis ... I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought 'hmm, time to buy'."

The host of a Fox News programme, Brian Kilmeade, said the attacks had the effect of putting terrorism back on the top of the G8's agenda, in place of global warming and African aid. "I think that works to our advantage, in the western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened."

Another Fox News host, John Gibson, said before the blasts that the International Olympic Committee "missed a golden opportunity" by not awarding the 2012 games to France. "If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn't worry about terrorism. They'd blow up Paris, and who cares?" He added: "This is why I thought the Brits should let the French have the Olympics - let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while."

Media Matters for America, a watchdog and frequent critic of Fox, criticised the comments on its website. "I think it's absolutely sickening three Fox anchors had such callous reactions to the bombings that took dozens of lives," said the Jamison Foser, of the group.

The Fox News media relations office had not responded by the time the Guardian went to press yesterday.

Maybe they will outlaw Fox News on Sky TV

More GOP TV (Fox News) Asses Chime In.

Right Wing

Fox New logoI just want to say, this is why the world hates us, because asshats like this, and the comments they make are so un-American, and so hateful that they make me embarrassed to be American. Shame on all of you. We all know that you are all shills for this criminal administration, but you are also cold hearted f*cks.

John Gibbson filling in for Bill "Vibrator in the Ass" O'Reilly on the Radio Factor.

By the way, just wanted to tell you people, we missed -- the International Olympic Committee missed a golden opportunity today. If they had picked France, if they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn't worry about terrorism. They'd blow up Paris, and who cares?

He later said on his own poorly rated show...

The bombings in London: This is why I thought the Brits should let the French have the Olympics -- let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while.

John GibsonThese people better thank their god that they are on cable, because I would work so hard to have their license pulled via the FCC. The comments coming out of Fox are about as nasty as the comments we catch from Al Jazeera.

On a personal note, I would not buy a car from this guy, he looks like a drunk used care salesman.

Bret Hume, "How can I Profit from the London Attacks"

War Profiteering

Brit HumeBrit Hume, of GOP TV, aka Fox News, showed just how much of a hateful ass he really was. Yesterday, as news of the tragedies in London were hitting the air waves, as the details were still sketchy, and people were starved for real information, here is what Bret said...

Well, maybe. The other thing is, of course, people have -- you know, the market was down. It was down yesterday, and you know, you may have had some bargain-hunting going on. I mean, my first thought when I heard -- just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, "Hmmm, time to buy." Others may have thought that as well. But you never know about the markets. But obviously, if the markets had behaved badly, that would obviously add to people's sense of alarm about it. But there has been a lot of reassurance coming, particularly in the way that -- partly in the way the Brits handled all this, but also in the way that officials here handled it. There seems to be no great fear that something like that is going to happen here, although there's no indication that we here had any advance warning.

So while our friends in London are pulling bodies from exploded buses, and out of subway tunnels, Bret was thinking how he can profit from this senseless act. Shame on you, you heartless son of a bitch... To hell with you.

You should email him brit.hume@foxnews.com , share with him your thoughts.

Karl Hoping to Use 9/11 to Divide, because People are Uniting

War on Terror

Against the Bush Administration

Karl Roves uses the tragedy of 9/11 to try to divide the nation. I guess he had to pull out the big guns, because more and more Americans are siding with me, that this administration is a failure, this war is wrong, and we will be paying for it for the rest of our lives. You see as Bush's poll number slip into the very low 40's they are struggling to recapture that "terrorist high" that masked the failings of Bush before now.

Here is what Karl Said...

Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war. Conservatives saw what happened to us on 9/11 and said we will defeat our enemies. Liberals saw what happened to us and said we must understand our enemies.

Sadly Kral you hit the nail right on the head, you have to understand them before you can defeat them, did you not read about Vietnam?

I saw the savagery of 9/11 from my office window, I could see the Pentagon from there, so please stop speaking for me...

Kos said it best, and I will just reprint it, because I couldn't say it better.

He's right. We want to understand.

We want to understand why Osama Bin Laden hasn't been captured? Why did the administration take its eyes off Al Qaida to invade Iraq? I mean, Al Qaida is the enemy Rove himself said we had to defeat. But we haven't.

Instead of defeating our enemies, we went to war against an impotent enemy -- Saddam. And yes, we want to understand. Like, why did they lie to go to war in Iraq? Why is that war still going, unabated? Why are we no closer to victory now, than we were in when Bush declared "mission accomplished"? Why don't our troops have proper ammo? Why aren't there enough boots on the ground in Iraq? Why are we still dying in Afghanistan?

He's right. I want to understand. I don't understand why the administration hasn't called for sacrifice. Why won't war supporters enlist? Why won't they encourage their circle of influence to enlist? Why won't they level with the American people, and give an honest assessment of what's going on in Iraq and Afghanistan?

I don't understand how our nation, always the good guys, is now perceived as the "bad guy" the world over. I don't understand how torture has become a commonplace occurrence inside facilities that bear the stars and stripes.

Oh, Cookie, Cookie, Cookie Starts with Cuts!

Media

cookie mosterFor some time the only real news source that was not worried about ratings and entertainment and really into reporting the news was PBS, and it's sister NPR. The right would have you believe that these 2 organizations, which fall under the umbrella called Corporation for Public Broadcasting, are nothing but a haven of leftist news. They my be right if you place them next to Fox News, or CNN, but of whom have given up reporting real news for some time.

So how does the right fight back against those that tell the truth? Cut their funding so they can not operate.

Here is some of an article from the San Francisco Chronicle

House panel OKs big cuts in public broadcast funding

A House subcommittee voted Thursday to sharply reduce the federal government's financial support for public broadcasting, including eliminating taxpayer funds that help underwrite such popular children's educational programs as "Sesame Street" and "Arthur."

In addition, the subcommittee acted to eliminate within two years all federal money for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting -- which passes federal funds to public broadcasters -- starting with a 25 percent reduction for next year, from $400 million to $300 million.

In all, the cuts would represent the most drastic cutback of public broadcasting since Congress created the nonprofit CPB in 1967. The CPB funds are particularly important for small TV and radio stations and account for about 15 percent of the public broadcasting industry's total revenue.

Expressing alarm, public broadcasters and their supporters in Congress interpreted the move as an escalation of a Republican-led campaign against a perceived liberal bias in their programming.

But the Republican chairman of the appropriations subcommittee on Labor, Health & Human Services and Education said the panel was simply making choices among various worthy government programs.

The subcommittee's action, which came on a voice vote, doesn't necessarily put Big Bird on the endangered species list. House members could restore funding as the appropriations bill moves along or, more likely, when the House and Senate meet to reconcile budget legislation later this year.

I would urge you all to please write both of your Senators and you House Member. You can do all that here.
