Bush has Nun Arested, for Protesting Social Security

Social Security

Arest herBush loves Jesus, but he loves crushing Social Security even more. A nun, Sister Grace Miller, director of the House of Mercy was arrested when she laid in the road to block the presidents motorcade as it was on its way to Greece Athena High School for yet another Social Security "Town Hall". By "Town Hall" I mean hand selected audience members who are favorable to the President. He is on day 80 something of his 60 day tour to tear down Social Security.

Here is a story on this from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle

Two protesters were arrested outside Greece Athena High School, as the presidential motorcade moved toward the school around 10:35 a.m.

Sister Grace Miller, director of the House of Mercy, was arrested after the motorcade entered the high school campus. Josh Karpoff, an organizer with Rochester Against War, said Miller and another person were standing at the corner of Northwood Drive and Long Pond Road, then ran across the road and laid down across the entranceway to the school.

They were then arrested.

As they were being removed people were yelling, "let them go, let them go.'’

Inside the auditorium, Bush began his speech by lauding area politicos, and giving verbal nods to former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly and 11-year-old Little League perfect-game pitcher Katie Brownell.

Kicking a Dead Horse, or Mass Distraction?

Social Security

If you recall, after Bush was "re-elected" for a second term he stated that he "had political capital, and planed to use it", well it was fun while it lasted. Bush, regardless of the what the numbers say is still kicking this dead horse Social Security. This got me thinking, why? What is NOT getting done in this nation while Bush is attempting to destroy Social Security?

Here is what Reuterss ays..

A USA Today/CNN poll released on Monday also showed Bush with the worst approval-disapproval ratings of his presidency -- 35 percent to 58 percent -- on the Social Security issue. The proposal he backed last week for "progressive indexing" was opposed 54 percent to 38 percent.

Stephen Moore, president of the conservative Free Enterprise Fund and a vocal supporter of Bush's push to let workers invest some payroll taxes in private retirement accounts, called the new plan "politically perilous for Republicans."

So far, Republican Sens. George Allen of Virginia and Sam Brownback of Kansas have publicly expressed reservations about Bush's new approach, which critics say would replace the popular retirement system with what amounts to a welfare program for the poor.

So I will ask again, what is not being covered while this goes on? Bush, a sad event in Amricans History.

Bush, Totally Lost, Going to Kill Us All

Failed Presidency

If you are like me, a gluten for punishment, you watched the President try to sell us on his desire to destroy Social Security. I can go and pick apart most of the crap that he spoke about, but right now tons of sites are doing that, I want to go into one statement that he had last night.

Look, Kim Jong Il is a dangerous person. He's a man who starves his people. He's got huge concentration camps. And, as David accurately noted, there is concern about his capacity to deliver a nuclear weapon. We don't know if he can or not, but I think it's best, when you're dealing with a tyrant like Kim Jong Il, to assume he can.

That's why I've decided that the best way to deal with this diplomatically is to bring more leverage to the situation by including other countries.

News Flash Senior Bush, while you are dicking around with your 8 way talks North Korea has figured out how to glue the damn warhead to a missile that can hit parts of the US.

Your "plan" has failed, again...

You spoke about your ill fainted Missile Deference System that has NEVER once worked in any of the tests it does.

Your "Plan" has failed, again...

What are you going to do Mr. Bush when North Korea gets a hair in there ass and they nuke Japan, or worst Los Angeles? Does your "Plan" prepare of for the economic collapse here in the U.S. when the Japanese get bombed? How much money are we going to have to for the rebuilding of a major city on the west coast when your failed missile defense system misses, again?

You have allowed us to be more unsafe than we have ever been before, thanks to you, terror has tripled, and because of you poverty is on the march, rise in abortion is on the march, death of our solders is on the march, destruction of the Veterans Administration is on the march. You are an embarrassment to this great nation, you have made us a shell of the nation we once was, we are at our weakest point, and you relish in the power.

Set your TiVo's, The President Will Speak

Social Security

Bush is going to get on TV tonight, and for the first time give you details on how he plans to destroy Social Security. I am sure he will try something treasonous like tell you that the program will be broke by next Tuesday. I am sure he will NOT tell you that his plan will cause the addition of Trillions to the National Debt.

I also would bet dollars to doughnuts that he will also not mention that Medicare is in far worst shape, and will crash in a far more spectacular manner.

He will be on at 8:30 EST (Because he has to get to bed by 9:30, or he gets cranky)

Bush is a Moron, and has undermined our Economy. Breaking the Law!

Social Security

Bush is stupid

Thanks Bush, You are willing to destroy our economy in order to push your plan.

Stocks, bonds and the cash in your pocket has worth because our government says it does. I am sure we have all heard of the comment, "full faith and credit of the United States"

Well not anymore! Bush, in a stunt to push his dead on arrival plan to revamp Social Security, went and visited the "Lock Box" (It is here in West Virginia, who knew!)

Here is what this moron did. He took US Treasury Bonds, the things that the banks use to finance mortgages, student loans, lots of pension plans and more, and said they are worthless!

I will use the words of grytpype on Daily KOS

Here's what happened (pardon me if you've heard it before, but it's important enough to repeat):

  1. Taxpayers paid over a trillion dollars in extra taxes to build up a trust fund. (The fund had $1.53 trillion in invested assets in December 2003.)
  2. The taxpayers' fund money was invested by loaning it to the rest of the government, in exchange for Treasury securities (i.e., the fund purchased Treasury securities). Presumably this was because Treasury securities are the safest investments there are, because they are backed by the full faith and credit of the government's promise to repay the money loaned by the bondholder, with interest.
  3. Now, George W. Bush, for our sins the President of the United States, says the securities are worthless and will not be honored. They just won't be.

Bush says the money "is gone." Of course, the money borrowed by the goverment was spent, but the Fund still holds the securities, which are legal claims on the Treasury -- a legally enforceable promise to repay. The bonds are still there, as Bush saw with his own eyes.

Do you think that argument would work with your bank? "I spent the money you lent me, I can't repay you, sorry."

So take Bush's advice, and go to your nearest bank, and ask for all your cash converted into US Issued Gold.

What Bush did was nothing more than economic terrorism.

It is illegal to do this...

From the The U.S. Constitution
Amendment XIV - Citizenship rights

4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

In the ever growing list of proof that Republicans do in fact hate Americans. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee's Phil Singer wrote the following:

Social Security NOT a crisis Bush Wants us to Think

From;

(Link)

March 9, 2005 | Washington -- Social Security "does not face an immediate crisis," the head of the Government Accountability Office said Wednesday, but it does face a long-term financing problem "and it would be prudent to address it sooner rather than later."

David M. Walker, who heads the nonpartisan Office of Comptroller General, also criticized President Bush for undertaking an aggressive two-month tour to try to sell his plan for allowing younger workers to divert a portion of their Social Security payroll taxes into private investment accounts. Walker suggested that Bush and members of Congress focus on improving financing for the program, which would not be significantly affected by establishment of personal accounts.

Read it all

I think it is safe to say, the White House will now say that the GAO is a terrorist organization, and it's "Members" should be rounded up and sent off to a "Bush reeducation fun camp". That will teach them to say something contrary to the presidents assertions.

Or, is the King in fact naked?

USANext is just a Front for the GOP.

Additional Information after the post - I still find it odd that the site was not changed unto right at a point when things start heating up with USANext, but, it looks as if OMC has just been caught in the crossfire. Josh Marshall has a post over on Talking Points Memo that has some more detail....

And though they apparently leased space from USANext until as recently as late last year, the financial ties between the OMC and USANext ended in 2002. In fact, from what I understand, it was Jarvis's arrival at USANext, and the new direction in which he took the organization, that prompted the folks at OMC to sever those ties.

We will see how this thing shakes out, but for now, O'Neill Marketing Company is just a right wing marketing firm

The fine people at USANext that brought you the now discredited "Swift Boat Vet's for Truth", are also the people behind United Seniors Association, and Americans Lobbying Against Rationing of Medical Care, USA. USANext is a Republican front operation with Karl Rove as the puppet master.

Let us look at some facts;

United Seniors Association = USANext
Americans Lobbying Against Rationing of Medical Care, USA = USANext

According to Give.com
United Seniors Association (link) *
Affiliates: O'Neill Marketing Company (OMC) (link)
Is located at
3900 Jermantown Road, Suite 450, Fairfax, Virginia 22030 (link)

O'Neill Marketing Company (OMC) (link)
It is located at
3900 Jermantown Road, Suite 450A, Fairfax, Virginia 22030 (link)

But Marq, when I click the link, it says they are a suite 300, you are right, that is what they say today, but what did it say on say Fed 8th 2005? Take a look. The great scrubing has begun.

So both of these companies are in the same office, so they are in fact the same. The "change" shows that there is something there, what are they hiding?

What does all this mean? Well, if you look at the client list for OMC you will see some names we have all grown to love, like...

Nat'l Rep. Congressional Committee fundraising advocacy
Parents Television Council fundraising advocacy
Rep. Governors Association fundraising advocacy
Rep. National Committee fundraising advocacy

Hmmm, you are a "grassroots" org, pushing the ill fainted Social Security Reform, yet your client list is a who's who of the neo-cons infrastructure. I smell a rat.

* Please note this site goes to the USANext Site.

More to come...

Thanks to at Josh Marshall @ Talking Points Memo, He stated this, I want to help bring it forward to more prople

Swift Boat Veterans Against AARP

From GLEN JUSTICE, New York Times

Taking its cues from the success of last year's Swift boat veterans' campaign in the presidential race, a conservative lobbying organization has hired some of the same consultants to orchestrate attacks on one of President Bush's toughest opponents in the battle to overhaul Social Security.

The lobbying group, USA Next, which has poured millions of dollars into Republican policy battles, now says it plans to spend as much as $10 million on commercials and other tactics assailing AARP, the powerhouse lobby opposing the private investment accounts at the center of Mr. Bush's plan.

"They are the boulder in the middle of the highway to personal savings accounts," said Charlie Jarvis, president of USA Next and former deputy under secretary of the interior in the Reagan and first Bush administrations. "We will be the dynamite that removes them."

Swift Vets captured headlines for weeks in last year's presidential race, when it spent millions of dollars on incendiary commercials attacking Senator Kerry's war record. Because federal law prohibits outside groups from coordinating with presidential campaigns during elections, the organization came under fire when it was revealed that a lawyer for Mr. Bush's campaign was also advising Swift Vets.

Mr. Bush criticized groups like Swift Vets last year, and his campaign kept its distance from the groups' attacks on Mr. Kerry. In policy battles like the one looming over Social Security, though, there is no prohibition against coordination. Several huge business lobbies, like the Business Roundtable, have become closely linked to Mr. Bush's plans for Social Security and have assembled coalitions to promote the proposals across the country.

Heaven for bid a bad idea , just remain a bad idea.

I can see the headlines now, "I served with AARP, and he is not commander. One time, I saw AARP rape a little girl"
