Pro-War Protesters Did Not Show a Mass

Military

These people here love death of the Troops

Well I have looked at about 10 news stories, and I think it is safe to say, far more supporters showed up to support Cindy and the anti-war movement then showed up to the pro-war pro-death rally put on by the Bush supporters.

From what I can tell, there were a little less than 1000, while Camp Casey housed well over 1500. So I am glad to see that the anti-war movement is so strong, and I am glad to see that the pro-war pro-death campaign is falling on its ass.

CBS Affiliate Will Not Air Sheehan Ad Because There Is “No Proof” Of Absence Of WMD In Iraq...

Boise, Idaho affiliates CBS and FOX have refused to air a television ad in which Cindy Sheehan asks President Bush questions about the Iraq war.

Sheehan “claims the President lied about, among other things, the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq,” said Jeff Anderson the Vice President of sales at Fisher Broadcasting Inc., which owns KBCI (CBS). “There is no proof that we are aware of regarding the truthfulness of her claim. We require proof of claims such as this. Until that is provided, our station will not carry this ad.”

Huge Setback for Women in Iraq

Iraq

Bush's State of the Union prop is a little dissappointed with Iraq.

From Salon.com

Remember Safia Taleb al-Suhail? She was the Iraqi woman George W. Bush trotted out for his State of the Union address earlier this year, the daughter of a man murdered by Saddam Hussein who provided the feel-good moment of the president's performance when, sitting up there in the balcony with Laura Bush, she embraced the mother of an American soldier killed in Iraq. We wonder if she'll be invited back for next year's speech.

Bush says he knows that Iraq's still unfinished constitution will be a victory for women because Condoleezza Rice told him so. But if the president were to check in with Suhail, he might come away with a different story. According to a Reuters report, Suhail, who is now Iraq's ambassador to Egypt, believes that the draft Iraqi constitution represents a major setback for the women of her country.

"When we came back from exile, we thought we were going to improve rights and the position of women," she said. "But look what has happened -- we have lost all the gains we made over the last 30 years. It's a big disappointment."

She is concerned -- as many Iraqis are -- that the draft constitution allows religious sects to run Iraq's family courts, likely leaving decisions about divorce, inheritance and other issues important to women in the hands of Islamic clerics. "This will lead to creating religious courts," she said. "But we should be giving priority to the law." Suhail said the United States has sold out Iraq's women in the drive to get a constitution -- any constitution -- approved by the Iraq's National Assembly. "We have received news that we were not backed by our friends, including the Americans," she said. "They left the Islamists to come to an agreement with the Kurds."

Thanks Mr. Bush, you have made another Iran.

Forget History, I Did. Bush Attempts to Rewrite Iraq's Past.

Iraq

One of the most important battle fronts in this war on terror is Iraq," Bush told an audience of about 9,500, including members of the Idaho National Guard and other military branches.

“The stakes in Iraq could not be higher. The brutal violence in Iraq today is a clear sign of the terrorists' determination to stop democracy from taking root in the Middle East," he added.

News Flash Mr. Bush, Iraq was nothing more than a nascence before you showed up. The American people are not as stupid as you are. You made Iraq the center of terrorist activity, You have created the new terrorists, The thousands of dead Iraqis is because of you. You want us to forget history, and while it is clear to me that you cab barely remember what happen yesterday, much less years or decades ago, many Americans can.

The fact is this: Iraq was a shell of a nation that was as much of a threat to us as Japan. You lied to get us into war, using the fears brought on by September 11th, meanwhile North Korea, and Iran have basically said, we have nukes, and we want to use them on your ass.

You are a pathetic president at best, a disaster for this nation for sure.

The Number is Sixty-eight

Fallen Heros

The number of soldiers that have died while Bush has been on vacation. His comment, "I have to move on with my life", sound wisdom from a simple man.

Bush is Still Making Crap Up

War on Terror

I am not sure what country Bush is speaking of, but I am sure it is not America. Bush was pining on about how he is the President that has increased the funding of the VA. He wants you to forget that the VA had to have emergency appropriations just a few months ago because of the short falls. He also mad no mention of the fact that he has created far more disabled vets then his father, Ragan or Clinton. He funded the VA at the levels it has been funded for years, and was shocked because it is short money.

If you have not figured it out yet, Bush does not live in the America you live in. In his world gas flows like water, because he does not pay for it. He also takes 50+ days off a year, while most Americans don’t even get 10 days. In Bush’s America the war in Iraq is going great, the Iraqis are just living in Eden, and worship Americans and Bush as a god.

Wake up, the VA is in dire straights, the waiting list for those coming back to get benefits is nearly 12 months. The VA doctors are going nuts. I speak from real experience; I use the VA for some of my care, that makes me a disabled vet. Twice in the last 3 visits I have had, the doctor was UNABLE to give me the medication he wanted, why? To expensive, we don’t have it in stock.

The war in Iraq is a mess; even Republicans are starting to say so. They have no power, no water and people are being blown up around them daily. Bush himself has said it, the 9/11 Hearings said so, if one of the Republican blow-hard on FOX say something different, they are lying!

You are welcome to read his speech yourself, it shows how out of touch he is.

Nixon Had Better Numbers then Bush

Failed Presidency

Bush’s Approval rating falls to a appoint lower than that of Nixon right before he resigned. George Bush, working on setting a new bar for the amount of vacation taken by an American President has an approval rating of a mere 36%.

The War in Iraq, the floundering economy, and the record gas prices are heavy on this president. American’s are requesting the war in Iraq in droves, so what does Mr. Bush do? He blows the dust off of the old “fight them over there, so we don’t have to fight them here… 9/11… evil do’er” speech. I suspect that he just hopes if he gives a speech from the past, then maybe he will get the approval ratings of the past. But don’t be fooled, Bush has said himself, “We have no evidence that Saddame had anything to do with the 9/11”

36% approve of him, that means that only the very old, and senile, and the retarded still support him, if you support him and you are not insanely old, you fall into the latter. And remember, not supporting this President does not make you a Democrat, it may in fact make you an enlightened Republican.

Bush to Gold Star Mothers, Who Cares What You Think

Iraq

George Bush makes me sick. A group of Gold Star Mothers (Mothers that have lost sons or daughters in war) was outside of the ranch, where our president is on vacation, protesting the war in Iraq. We have lost 40 men during Bush’s vacation.

Bush, said, “heard the voices of those saying, 'Pull out now.'" And he said, "I've thought about their cry and their sincere desire to reduce the loss of life by pulling our troops out. I just strongly disagree.”

I want to ask what he is using to make this judgment? Is he worried about his daughters in harms way? Nope, they, like their father, are cowards. Can he reflect on his own war time record? Not really, there has yet to be a little evidence of the Viet-cong attacking any bars in Austin. So what is he using to make such a statement has, “I hear your tears, and don’t give a shit. We do not have the oil flowing like we thought we did, and until we do, Americans will have to keep dieing”

How many more are we going to have to lose for Bush’s lies and greed?

A story from the AP

President Bush said Thursday he sympathizes with war protesters like the mother camped outside his Texas ranch demanding answers for her solider-son's death, but he said he believes it would be a mistake to bring U.S. troops home now.

Bush said he had "heard the voices of those saying, 'Pull out now.'" And he said, "I've thought about their cry and their sincere desire to reduce the loss of life by pulling our troops out. I just strongly disagree."

"Pulling the troops out would send a terrible signal to the enemy," the president told reporters between meetings with his military and foreign affairs advisers.

Outside his sprawling ranch, California mother Cindy Sheehan sat on the road with a growing group of war protesters who have pitched tents in shallow ditches. Sheehan's son, Casey, was killed five days after he arrived in Iraq last year at age 24.

Sheehan began her standoff on Saturday, declaring she would stay for the entire month that Bush plans to stay in Texas if he won't meet with her. Since then, dozens of other activists have traveled from across the country to join her, including at least three other parents who have lost children in the war.

"The president says he feels compassion for me, but the best way to show that compassion is by meeting with me and the other mothers and families who are here," Sheehan said. "All we're asking is that he sacrifice an hour out of his five-week vacation to talk to us, before the next mother loses her son in Iraq."

Looks like Some Military Does Not Support Bush

Military

I have nothing to say, but here is a great story, from the Reuters...

A U.S. Air Force colonel has been charged with painting obscenities on parked cars bearing pro-President Bush bumper stickers, police said on Wednesday.

Lt. Col. Alexis Fecteau, who supervises 41 full-time and part-time reservists at the National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs, Colo., is suspected of vandalizing 12 cars at Denver International Airport over a six-month period, Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.

"Lieutenant Colonel Fecteau has been charged with one count of felony mischief and six misdemeanor counts related to the vandalism," Jackson said.

Fecteau, who could not be reached for comment, is scheduled to be arraigned later this month.

Americans are wising up, and as they do Bush’s poll numbers tank.

Failed Presidency

It is no secret to the readers of my blog that I think the Bush Administration is an uder failure in almost everything it touches, and now, the majority of America is on my side.

Is Approval Rating on…
Handling Domestic Issues 37%
Handling of the Economy 41%
Handling of Foreign Policy 47%

All of these with the exception of the Foreign Policy is the lowest level it has ever been, and Foreign Policy is only 2 points from its all time low. This means 60% of Americans think that Bush does not care about them at home, 56% do not think Bush is doing anything for the economy and 51% think he blows when it comes how he handles Foreign Affairs.

Now here is something, nearly 60% say that Bush is screwing up Iraq, so what does Bush say about this? "We will stay the course in Iraq”, but Mr. President, Americans think you are a dumb ass, and Iraq is going in the wrong direction, what say you? "We will stay the course in Iraq"

The poll also shows an increase in the number of people that think he is arrogant, unintelligent, undependable, weak, and dishonest, so what does Bush do? He goes on vacation.

You are welcome to read the poll yourself...

Now I am sure you will hear, or read those that suffer from Stockholm Synd and will say, "Bush is great, I want to go down on him", remember, they are in the minority...

Life in Bush's America

Sadly, November of 2000 put this great nation on a track of destruction. Four years later the fundamentalist whack-jobs used fear and a tangle of lies to scare people into voting for this nut bag again.
