People Sees Right Through Bush's "I Care About Hurricane" Tour

Failed Leadership

From MSNBC Chief White House Correspondent David Gregory

During his visit to FEMA emergency operations center here in Washington today, I asked the President what good he thinks he could do traveling to the hurricane zone later today in anticipation of Rita. He initially brushed off questions, but then spun around to say, "We will make sure that my entourage does not get in the way of people doing their job."

What a difference a botched hurricane makes!

The same President who appeared just a tad aloof taking in Katrina's wrath from Air Force One, or strumming a guitar after a speech as Katrina was striking, is now desperately seeking a new photo opportunity to symbolize his stewardship in response to Rita.

Then we received late word today that Mr. Bush has scrapped his trip to San Antonio where he was going to visit search and rescue teams staging for the storm. Those teams are moving east to follow the storm track and the White House says the President didn't want to slow that down. Mr. Bush will ride out the storm in Colorado at Northern Command to view the military response to Rita.

This hurricane gives him his first major test and opportunity. Aides concede the biggest mistake made during Katrina was that the President trusted the word he was getting that the federal response was adequate. An aide told me this morning — I'm paraphrasing: look, if you are going to say mistakes were made last time you are obliged to see for yourself what's being done in preparation now.

Bottom line is, these are photo ops. White House aides admit they want Mr. Bush to be seen in briefings and personally tending to the government's response. Mr. Bush has no choice but to be in the middle of the action. Disaster relief and rebuilding are now the canvas of his second term. Between storms and war, the President's vision may face less scrutiny than his administration's basic competence.

To Pay For Clean-up, Republicans Target Troops.

Military

Hey Right wind wack jobs that lurk in these pages, if this doen’t make you spit up a little then you have no soul.

Bush and the Republican Congress has waged a “War on Taxes” to free the enslaved “Rich” from the brutal tax man. Meanwhile, Bush has sent us into Iraq, at a cost of about $200 Billion, we have the cleanup of Katrina, estimated at $200 Billion, we have the upcoming clean up of Hurricane Rita and so on. We are also spending more money than we are taking in via taxes. When you spend more than you have, you run into the red, and boy are we in the read.

So there is a debate in Congress as to where we are going to get all this money. Many, including some Republicans have said, “We should roll back some of these tax cuts” basically end the “War on Taxes” that has so far cut $336 Billion in tax cuts that benefit the top 1% of Americans (PDF), so in short, No one that reads this blog has gotten shit.

Oh no, we can’t do that, instead some far right wing Republicans are looking at other places to cut spending.

The part that makes me sick beyond belief is the proposal to cut the funding to the US Military, to cut the findings to “Quality of Life” programs such as Healthcare. You heard me right, in a time of war; they want to save the tax cuts to the rich by cutting funds to military healthcare. Republicans support the troops my ass.

In fact here is a quote from the Navy Times,

A group of House Republicans have proposed a plan to offset the costs of relief and rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina that includes trimming military quality-of-life programs, including health care.

Possible sources of funding cuts to free up money for Katrina relief include reduced health benefits, consolidation of the three military exchange systems and the closure of the military’s stateside school system.

The House Republican Study Committee, headed by Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., is not singling out the military as it tries to raise the estimated $200 billion that the federal government will need for various Katrina-related spending.

So here is it in a nutshell, We will not roll back the tax cuts, instead we are going to cut the “quality of Life” programs for our members in uniform, during a war. We are going to charge government employees to pay to park at their place of work, and you all know that Medicare, Medicaid, and other services will also be on the chopping block.
Repeal the Tax cuts, we are spending more then we have, we have to bring in more money. You right-wingers, if you are not sick, you are stupid.

Mr. Bush, Time for you to Pee in this Cup.

Life in Bushs America

Should we as a Nation have a right to ask about the well-being of our President? I say we should. A few news sources have reported that Bush is back on the wagon. So I ask, if the Nation is dumb enough to elect a known alcoholic, and recovering drug addict (I know, it could never happen) should we demand that we know what his current “status” is?

This man has his finger on “the button”, he has enormous power that we as Americans would not necessarily want in the hands of a drunk or stoned anyone.

I would want to know; in fact I think I have a right to know. We randomly drug test members of the military, bus drivers, teachers, anyone who wants a new job, so why not the man that is sending our boys to war?

Bush Tries to Tie A Neat Bow on It, The Terrorists Made Katrina

Failed Presidency

How pathetic is George W. Bush, Today, in a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition 20th Anniversary Bush attempted to tie Katrina and 9/11 together. This President is nothing without 9/11 and America is over the whole “I Will Make You Safe” crap.

Katrina has shown that Bush has made us less safe than ever. The Department of Homeland Security is just another layer of bureaucracy, and has done nothing to make us safer.

It's important. We got a lot of work to do. But when it's all said and done, people are going to realize that this country can respond to crises and help a neighbor in need. This country has got enormous heart and enormous compassion. After it's all said and done, because of the compassionate outpouring of our people, the country's heart, collective heart, is going to be stronger and better.

You know, something we -- I've been thinking a lot about how America has responded, and it's clear to me that Americans value human life, and value every person as important. And that stands in stark contrast, by the way, to the terrorists we have to deal with. You see, we look at the destruction caused by Katrina, and our hearts break. They're the kind of people who look at Katrina and wish they had caused it. We're in a war against these people. It's a war on terror. These are evil men who target the suffering. They killed 3,000 people on September the 11th, 2001. And they've continued to kill. See, sometimes we forget about the evil deeds of these people. They've killed in Madrid, and Istanbul, and Baghdad, and Bali, and London, and Sharm el-Sheikh, and Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. Around the world they continue to kill.

They have a strategy. They want to achieve certain objectives. They want to break our will. They want the United States of America and other freedom-loving nations to retreat from the world. Why? Because they want safe haven. They want to topple government. Just think Taliban in Afghanistan. That's their vision. And we can't let them do that. We have a solemn duty as a United States government to protect the American people from harm. (Applause.)

We have a solemn duty to remember there are generations coming behind us. We have a solemn duty to stay on the offense against these people, to defeat them in other lands so we don't have to face them here at home. And we have a solemn duty to lay the foundation of peace for generations to come. (Applause.)

I am glad to see Americans are wising up. I will never forget 9/11, it was a tragic day in our history, I will also not forget the aftermath of Katrina. Bush said he would make us safe, he lied, and now he is attempting to use the emotions of 9/11 to prop up failure after failure.

Will Neocon Fanaticism Destroy America?

War on Terror

From AntiWar.com by Paul Craig Roberts

The "cakewalk war" is now two and one-half years old. U.S. casualties (dead and wounded) number 20,000. As 20,000 is the number of Iraqi insurgents according to U.S. military commanders, each insurgent is responsible for one U.S. casualty.

U.S. troops in Iraq number about 150,000. Obviously, U.S. troops have not inflicted 150,000 casualties on the Iraqi insurgents. U.S. troops have perhaps inflicted 150,000 casualties on the Iraqi civilian population, primarily women and children who are the "collateral damage" of the "righteous" and "virtuous" U.S. invasion that is spreading civilian deaths all over Mesopotamia in the name of democracy

What could the U.S. have possibly done to give America a worse name than to invade Iraq and murder its citizens?

According to the Sept. 1 Manufacturing & Technology News, the Government Accounting Office has reported that over the course of the cakewalk war, the U.S. military's use of small caliber ammunition has risen to 1.8 billion rounds. Think about that number. If there are 20,000 insurgents, it means U.S. troops have fired 90,000 rounds at each insurgent.

Very few have been hit. We don't know how many. To avoid the analogy with Vietnam, until last week the U.S. military studiously avoided body counts. If 2,000 insurgents have been killed, each death required 900,000 rounds of ammunition.

The combination of U.S. government-owned ammo plants and those of U.S. commercial producers together cannot make bullets as fast as US troops are firing them. The Bush administration has had to turn to foreign producers such as Israel Military Industries. Think about that. Hollowed-out U.S. industry cannot produce enough ammunition to defeat a 20,000-man insurgency.

Is Bush Back on the Bottle? Some Say Yes!

Failed Presidency

Bush is a DrunkLike it or not, The National Enquirer is often dead on when it comes to stories found in it’s pages. The National Enquire is not the rag you see talking about alien babies found in the folds of a fat lady, that is Weekly World News.

So here is a story that comes from National Enquire, and it sounds very plausible.

Faced with the biggest crisis of his political life, President Bush has hit the bottle again, The National Enquirer can reveal.

Bush, who said he quit drinking the morning after his 40th birthday, has started boozing amid the Katrina catastrophe.

Family sources have told how the 59-year-old president was caught by First Lady Laura downing a shot of booze at their family ranch in Crawford, Texas, when he learned of the hurricane disaster.

His worried wife yelled at him: "Stop, George."

Following the shocking incident, disclosed here for the first time, Laura privately warned her husband against "falling off the wagon" and vowed to travel with him more often so that she can keep an eye on Dubya, the sources add.

"When the levees broke in New Orleans, it apparently made him reach for a shot," said one insider. "He poured himself a Texas-sized shot of straight whiskey and tossed it back. The First Lady was shocked and shouted: "Stop George!"

"Laura gave him an ultimatum before, 'It's Jim Beam or me.' She doesn't want to replay that nightmare — especially now when it's such tough going for her husband."

Bush is under the worst pressure of his two terms in office and his popularity is near an all-time low. The handling of the Katrina crisis and troop losses in Iraq have fueled public discontent and pushed Bush back to drink.

Frist Pulls a Martha, Does Some Insider Traiding?

Right Wing Hypocrisy

Did Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist pull a Martha Stewart? The Washington Post is reporting that Bill sold a wheel barrel of stock in the Healthcare company he owns 2 weeks before it released a really bad earnings reports in which the stock dropped 15%. He also sold his wife and children's stock as well. Did he do some insider trading? I call for the SEC to investigate Bill now.

From the Washington Post.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a potential presidential candidate in 2008, sold all his stock in his family's hospital corporation about two weeks before it issued a disappointing earnings report and the price fell nearly 15 percent.

Frist held an undisclosed amount of stock in Hospital Corporation of America, based in Nashville, the nation's largest for-profit hospital chain. On June 13, he instructed the trustee managing the assets to sell his HCA shares and those of his wife and children, said Amy Call, a spokeswoman for Frist.

Frist's shares were sold by July 1 and those of his wife and children by July 8, Call said. The trustee decided when to sell the shares, and the Tennessee Republican had no control over the exact time they were sold, she said.

HCA shares peaked at midyear, climbing to $58.22 a share on June 22. After slipping slightly for two weeks, the price fell to $49.90 on July 13 after the company announced its quarterly earnings would not meet analysts' expectations. On Tuesday, the shares closed at $48.76.

Umm, I would call for the SEC to investigate this ASAP. You are the main stock holder and “owner” of a company that you liquidate your holdings from 2 weeks before a bad quarterly report. I smell something foul.

More Polls for Johnna O'Dell, the Right Wing Nut.

Failed Presidency

Well Bush's "to little to late" speech did not help his free falling poll numbers.

From the AP.

Hurricane Katrina and the bungled government response have weakened President Bush, raising questions among Americans about his Iraq and flood-recovery plans and spreading fears among fellow Republicans about next year's elections.

An AP-Ipsos poll says nearly six in 10 people disapprove of Bush's job performance, unchanged from the record-low rating he had before last week's televised address from the heart of New Orleans.

That underscores why GOP leaders fear Bush could be a drag on GOP candidates in 2006.

Many in the poll also were concerned that Katrina and its aftermath would lead to a national economic downturn. Less than half approve of Bush's handling of Katrina. Less than a third give him good marks on gas prices.

The public seems to see a conflict among some of Bush's priorities a year before voters will choose a new House and one-third of the Senate.

Given a choice in the survey, 42 percent favored cutting spending on Iraq to pay for relief efforts on the Gulf Coast, and 29 percent wanted to delay or cancel Republican tax cuts. That's a whopping 71 percent backing options that Bush doesn't even have on the table.

Two-thirds said the president was spending too much in Iraq. Just as many were concerned the money was not being spent wisely.

The AP-Ipsos poll of 1,000 adults, conducted for three days after Bush's address to the nation last week, comes at a low point in his presidency.

Republicans Love Oil, Hate Americans.

Right Wing

Are some Republicans awaking out of the stupper that they have

Pete Domenici, Republican from New Mexico has stunned the “Screw the World” Republicans by calling for Congress to review and raise the CAFE Standards, those are the ones that set the miles per gallon a car should get. This is a real slap in the face to the oil loving Bush Administration, and the uber- conservative Republicans have balked at the idea. The reason? They love oil companies more than they love Americans.

From AlterNet

On Sept. 6, the day Congress reconvened after its summer recess, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee penned an uncharacteristically conservation-minded letter to the White House: "We would encourage you to make the federal government the leader in [fuel-conservation] efforts by instructing all federal agencies to curtail discretionary vehicle travel," the 22 committee members unanimously exhorted, "to accelerate procurement of high-efficiency or alternatively fueled vehicles, and to take other measures to conserve gasoline, aviation, and diesel fuel use by the federal government, except where needed to support essential functions and missions."

Then, Pete Domenici, Republican from New Mexico and chair of the Senate Energy Committee, made headlines when he declared that it was time for lawmakers to consider slapping stricter miles-per-gallon standards on auto manufacturers, mere weeks after pushing through an energy bill that was notably empty of fuel-economy requirements. "I believe we must take another look at CAFE [corporate average fuel economy] standards," Domenici said. Other conservative Republicans in the Senate, including Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Ted Stevens (Alaska), have also started talking about revisiting CAFE standards.

Now soon to be indicted Tom DeLay, and Joe Barton have said that instead of saving oil, work on conserving it, and finding ways to curb the United States’ appetite for it, we should just open ANWR to drilling. Why save it when you can just ruin the world to find more. Am I the only one that thinks this is a dumb idea?

Plenty of other energy-related proposals look to have better prospects, but they're largely of the "pillage and plunder" variety, according to Becker. "We're basically seeing all the bad stuff industry advocates couldn't squeeze onto the energy bill reemerge in these post-Katrina proposals," he said.

Katrina exposed the extreme vulnerability of U.S. oil infrastructure, but instead of pushing for a more diversified energy system that would make good use of renewables and enhance long-term energy security, many Republicans want to perpetuate the fossil fuel-based status quo.

On Tuesday, House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) announced that he and Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, have a whole new energy bill in mind -- "We are working on one as we speak," he said at a press conference -- that would not only open up protected areas, including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, to oil and gas drilling, but also fast-track the environmental review process required to obtain permits for building new oil refineries.

Bush's Management and Budget Procurement Chief Arrested

Failed Leadership

I told you that the entire Bush administration is a bunch of crooks, and now the web of lies is starting to fall apart, and we are seeing arrests, I am sure there are more to come.

From the RawStory,

David Safavian, who oversees $300 billion of annual federal purchasing as director of the Office of Procurement Policy, has been arrested for three criminal charges relating to obstruction of a federal investigation. He resigned quietly last Friday.

RAW STORY previously reported that ex-gambling lobbyist Safavian had, "quietly advanced the interests of former clients under the cloak of a vocally anti-gambling Utah congressman" Rep. Chris Cannon (R-UT). Safavian was Cannon's chief of staff.

The indictment refers to a 2002 trip arranged by Jack Abramoff, a Washington power lobbyist who arranged a trip to Scotland that took powerful House Rep. Bob Ney golfing. Abramoff was joined on the trip by former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed and David Safavian. According to the charges, Safavian "allegedly aided a Washington, D.C., lobbyist in the lobbyist's attempts to acquire GSA-controlled property in and around Washington, D.C."

Here is a link to the Department of Justice press release on this.

Who's next? We could all pray that is is Karl Rove, them Bush, and the rest of the gang.

More Bush Poll Numbers, for the Right Wing Nut Johnna O'Dell

Failed Presidency

CNN/Gallop Poll, one of the most generous polls out there has shown that Bush’s Approval rating has fallen a whopping 6 points in one week. Last week the CNN/Gallop Poll had Bush at 46% (While the NBC/WSJ Poll had him at 37% and the New York Times/CBS News Poll 41%) now has him at 40%, the lowest point in his “Presidency”

This post is aimed at the lady who has posted on this site with the comment, “I think you're making figures up in your head or too busy watching CNN to get your figures right.”, well this is a CNN/Gallop Poll, there is the link to the NBC/WSJ Poll (By the way, WSJ is very right wing) and there is the link to the NY Times/CBS News Poll. Read it and weep, your president sucks, hell, even Nixon was more loved.

Johnna, take a moment to become educated, not just vomited tripe feed to you by Fox News and the RNC, prove to us all your smarter then that.

UPDATE: CNN has posted a story on it.

Just 41 percent of the 818 adults polled between Friday and Monday said they approved of Bush's handling of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, while 57 percent disapproved.

And support for his management of the war in Iraq has dropped to 32 percent, with 67 percent telling pollsters they disapproved of how Bush is prosecuting the conflict.

The survey had a sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Fifty-nine percent said they considered the 2003 invasion of Iraq a mistake, 63 percent said they wanted to see some or all U.S. troops withdrawn from that country and 54 percent told pollsters they favor cutting spending on the war to pay for disaster relief.

Just 35 percent of those polled approved of Bush's handling of the economy, with 63 percent saying they disapproved.

Bush's overall job approval number was 40 percent, with 58 percent of those surveyed telling pollsters they disapproved of his performance in office. It is the second time his approval rating has hit that low a mark.

Did you read that Johnna?

Iran is Next, Get your Tickets Now.

War on Terror

Condi Rice, Part of the Bush’s Brain Group is starting to increase the hype about Iran…

From Reuters.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice urged the United Nations on Saturday to be tough with Iran over its nuclear ambitions but said there was still time for diplomacy to run its course.

Immediately after her maiden speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Iran's new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, launched a blistering attack against the United States and accused Washington in turn of violating global nuclear treaties.

While asking the U.N. to be firm, Rice urged Tehran to resume nuclear talks that broke down last month with the Europeans or the Security Council should intervene.

"When diplomacy has been exhausted, the Security Council must become involved," Rice said.

Tehran insists its atomic program is for civilian energy purposes but the United States and other Western powers say it is aimed at building nuclear weapons.

"It (the United Nations) must be able to deal with great challenges like terrorism and nuclear proliferation, especially when countries like Iran threaten the effectiveness of the global nonproliferation regime," Rice said.

The Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency is set to consider on Monday whether to refer Iran to the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions, a move the United States has been pushing.

Rice's spokesman quoted her as saying it was up to the Iranians to take the initiative and return to nuclear talks with the European powers, Germany, France and Britain, which have taken the lead on negotiations.

Great, this administration is going to send us to war with the whole world, thanks Bush.

Nobel Prize Winners Visit Kansas.

Crazy Evangelicals

As you know, the “educators” (I place them in quotes for a reason) in Kansas are debating teaching the fact less based “Intelligent Design” in school. For those that live under a rock, “intelligent design” is nothing more than the biblical creationism story wrapped in a new and stupid new name.

Well the scientific community is throwing there voice into the discussion, from the AP.

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Thirty-eight Nobel Prize laureates asked Kansas state educators to reject proposed science standards that treat evolution as a seriously questionable theory, calling it instead the "indispensable" foundation of biology.

The group, led by the writer Elie Wiesel, said it wanted to defend science and combat "efforts by the proponents of so-called intelligent design to politicize scientific inquiry."

The proposed standards, which could come up for final Board of Education approval later this year, are designed to expose students to more criticism of evolution but state in an introduction that they do not endorse intelligent design.

I think that they are wasting their breath, It is starting to sound like the people in Kansas are devoid of any sort of thought, Kansas will do it’s best to create a generation of dumb asses.

Bush's Speech was NOT a Bullhorn Moment, and Now His Base is Pissed.

Failed Leadership

Well Bush just had a speech, did you watch it, I did so you didn’t have to. Anyway, here is what we have learned. Not much, but I will tell you what he did do, he has pissed off his base.

Right now the Freepers are going ape shit, there is nothing more that those Bush supporters hate than the thought of a bunch of their money going to a bunch of poor black people. This administration has waged a war on the poor , and now we are going to give them billions! I love it.

Here is a choose post from FreeRepublic.com

Bend over folks and prepare to grab your ankles, it is "pander to the poor, screaming black folks" time. The president is trying to bribe the black caucus into loving him and voting Republican. He has yet to learn the lesson that Rush so aptly stated yesterday; no matter how much you give these people, it will NEVER be enough! Americans have generously opened up our hearts and pocketbooks to help without any stipulation as to who is to receive the funds, black, white, yellow, purple it did not matter. Nearly a BILLION dollars has been raised, our church alone has raised and donated over $11,000 for relief efforts in less than two weeks. Over 3 TRILLION dollars have been spent on the “War on Poverty” and what have we got to show for it? Frankly; many of us have had it; the screaming ungrateful, ENTITLED masses from N.O. yelling "where is OUR stuff?” “you are not dong enough to help,” whites hate blacks," "Bush wants to kill black people," "Bush blew up the levy," "there is no equality in America," "Americans are racists," etc..., This tears it, they have killed the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Given the ongoing, never-ending statements, complaints, actions and attitudes of the overwhelming majority of these people; all I can say is they have received all they are going to get from many of us and frankly, their ungrateful, unthankful, disgraceful race baiting, hateful actions and rhetoric has set race relations back decades...

I personally thought that Bush was a little to smirky and did not seem genuine. His words were okay but the delivery was just fake as you could expect from a robot.

I do hope that the money will go to build a better nation, a better New Orleans, and hopefully highlight and move people out of poverty, but sadly, I am sure it will just all go to Halliburton, why should this disaster be any different than all of Bush’s other disasters.

Glenn Beck, RW Shill Calls NO Survivors Scumbags, and Hates 9/11 Families

Right Wing

Glenn Beck, Right wing shill for this administration has in fact told us the truth, and looks like a gay cowboy, for the first time he has given us the inside skinny on what the Republicans really think. Glenn Beck said that those left in New Orleans are “Scumbags” and he also revealed that he hates the victims families of 9/11.

Here is what he said, from Media Matters for America.

BECK: Let me be real honest with you. I don't think anybody on talk radio -- I don't think anybody in their right mind is going to say this out loud -- but I wonder if I'm the only one that feels this way. Yesterday, when I saw the ATM cards being handed out, the $2,000 ATM cards, and they were being handed out at the Astrodome. And they actually had to close the Astrodome and seal it off for a while because there was a near-riot trying to get to these ATM cards. My first thought was, it's not like they're going to run out of the $2,000 ATM cards. You can wait! You know, stand in line. Maybe it's because I'm the kind of guy, when I go to a buffet, I either have to be first in line, or I'm the very last. Because I know there's going to be extra food, and I just won't stand in the line. I'll wait until all the suckers go get their food, and then I'll go get mine. Or if I'm really hungry, I hate to admit this -- and really, I don't even have to be really hungry. If I'm really being a pig, I will kind of, like, hang out around the buffet table before the line is -- you know, chat with people right around the table: "Oh, they just opened the line! Let's go!" And then you're first in line.

When you are rioting for these tickets, or these ATM cards, the second thing that came to mind was -- and this is horrible to say, and I wonder if I'm alone in this -- you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9-11 victims' families? Took me about a year. And I had such compassion for them, and I really wanted to help them, and I was behind, you know, "Let's give them money, let's get this started." All of this stuff. And I really didn't -- of the 3,000 victims' families, I don't hate all of them. Probably about 10 of them. And when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, "Oh shut up!" I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining. And we did our best for them. And, again, it's only about 10.

But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims. These guys -- you know it's really sad. We're not hearing anything about Mississippi. We're not hearing anything about Alabama. We're hearing about the victims in New Orleans. This is a 90,000-square-mile disaster site, New Orleans is 181 square miles. A hundred and -- 0.2 percent of the disaster area is New Orleans! And that's all we're hearing about, are the people in New Orleans. Those are the only ones we're seeing on television are the scumbags -- and again, it's not all the people in New Orleans. Most of the people in New Orleans got out! It's just a small percentage of those who were left in New Orleans, or who decided to stay in New Orleans, and they're getting all the attention. It's exactly like the 9-11 victims' families. There's about 10 of them that are spoiling it for everybody.

I am not even sure where to start here, so I will just say this, they are getting the most attention you asshat because that is where most of the people that were affected live. You see moron we have these things called cities, and cities have lots of people in them, it is sometimes called an urban area. The opposite of urban is rural, and there is not as many people there, you dip shit.

Lastly, Something happened in New Orleans that did not happen in the rest of the area, levees that were under the control of the federal government, headed by the now famous dumb ass George Bush slashed the funding to those levees. There were 2 disasters in New Orleans, one was natural and the other was purely manmade.

You should take some time and sent this asshat an email, me@glennbeck.com (Kind of an ego I guess) You may also want to speak to his network Premiere Radio Networks .

Bush at the UN, I have to Take a Piss.

Humor

This is real folks, I did not make it up, here is the link. I am not going to make anything of it, no I lied, I am. The caption reads...

U.S. President George W. Bush writes a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005. World leaders are exploring ways to revitalize the United Nations at a summit on Wednesday but their blueprint falls short of Secretary-General Kofi Annan's vision of freedom from want, persecution and war. Does this mean he has to ask Candi before he is allowed? Does Condi have to wipe him? This is just so odd if you ask me.

New Iraq War, Destroy the Sunnis for Not Sticking to "The Plan"

Traitors in the White House

It is about to go from bad to worse in Iraq, Gary Schmitt executive director of the Project for the New American Century, a Washington-based think tank. The Same Project for the New American Century that brought you Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, George Bush, Don Rumsfelt, Karl Rove, and the rest of the BushCo Organized Crime Syndicate has written a piece in the Washington Post. What does it say? Well, we are now at war with the Sunnis. We tried to play nice, but they did not want to play, so we will crush them.

From the Washington Post

Contrary to most commentary, then, the key to succeeding in Iraq is no longer putting in place a grand political bargain in which Iraqis of all sectarian stripes live happily ever after. In fact, by suggesting that this is the goal, we probably have fueled the Sunnis' own misperception of their future status in Iraq and hardened their own position.

The goal, of course, is to create a political order by which Iraq is made relatively stable and the normal democratic politics of give-and-take are made possible. But that will be a decidedly uphill struggle until the prospect of a successful insurgency is taken off the table and the Sunni Arabs come to the understanding that the new constitution is, in practice, a pretty good deal after all.

Politics cannot solve what ails Iraq now. It can help, and certainly the constitution is an important step in that direction. But at the end of the day, it's only when the so-called dead-enders are either dead or vanquished that one can count on the political process moving decisively forward as most Iraqis desire.

Please keep in mind that the Project for a New American Centery's stated goal is "An educational organization supporting American global military, diplomatic, and
moral leadership." It was founded in 1992 by then-Defense Secretary, Dick Cheney.

Mary Louise writes

His writings set out a new doctrine that called for U.S. power in the twentieth century, to be that of an aggressive and unilateral approach that would secure American dominance of world affairs by force if necessary. This "peace through strength" policy has been unfolding from the day Bush, Jr. took office; the strategic planning of it was done during the Clinton administration with funding from the military-industrial

So what does this all mean you may ask, simple, Bush and the gang tried to get the Sunnis to play nice, and they did not, they are derailing the overall plan in Iraq, keeping the oil flowing, traded in US Dollars, and establishing a government that can be controlled by the US. Long term, to crush OPEC. They don’t want to play along, so they must be destroyed.

I urge you to go read the PNAC website, they do not hide what they are, you will be shocked, and Bush is their puppet.

Harpies has Higher Approval Rating than Bush.

Failed Presidency

Why does America Hate Bush, well mainly because Bush, and his Republican kabal hate Americans. We have 2 polls that have come out, and both of them show that Bush’s numbers are still in a free fall.

NBC/WSJ Poll

This poll has him in at 37% approval rating, From his high of 90% the weeks after September 11, 2001, this means that only hipo-Christians, people on the RNC payroll and mentally retarded people support him.

WASHINGTON — Rocked by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, record-high gas prices, and the continued debate over Iraq, President George W. Bush’s public standing has sunk to new lows, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds.

Bush's approval rating has declined to its lowest level in his presidency.
So has his handling of the situation in Iraq. Moreover, fewer than half those surveyed approve of the way in which Bush has dealt with the hurricane, and a whopping three-fourths believe the United States is not prepared for a nuclear, biological or chemical attack.

“The president has been living on the edge for the last 18 months,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, referring to Bush’s approval rating, which until recently had held steady at or just below 50 percent since 2004.

We also have the New York Times/CBS News Poll

Here he now holds a abysmal 41% approval rating, just keep this fact in mind, most of the phones are still down in the areas hit by Hurricane Katrina, I am sure they have an opinion.

The hurricane, alone, does not appear to have taken any significant toll on Mr. Bush's overall job approval rating, which remains stuck virtually where it has been since early summer. But the findings do suggest that the slow federal response to the hurricane has increased public doubts about the Bush administration's effectiveness. Fifty-six percent of Americans said they were now less confident about the government's ability to respond to a terrorist attack or natural disaster.

Taken together, the numbers suggest that a public that has long seen Mr. Bush as a determined leader, whether it agreed with him or not, has growing doubts about his capacity to deal with pressing problems. More than 6 in 10 said they were uneasy about his ability to make the right decisions about the war in Iraq, and half expressed similar unease about his ability to deal with the problems of the storm's victims.

We also have the NBC/WSJ Poll

Shift the Blame to Those at Fault, His Supporters.

Failed Presidency

Wanda Sykes is one of the funniest people in America. I went and saw her last year when she was here in DC, at the GW venue. I can honest say I thought I was going to die, I laughed so hard.

My partner of the past 11 years has said over and over since Novembers election, well they choose him, they are going to get what the asked for.

Last night on the Tonight Show.

Jay: "But President Bush took responsibility."

Wanda: "I don't think the President should have taken responsibility.... I don't blame the President. I blame the American people. Y'all knew the man was slow when you voted him in. You can't blame the blind man for wrecking your car when you're the one who gave him the keys."

Well the message is starting to come out, and I think Michael (my partner) and Wanda are right. I think we should shift the blame, start calling those dumb asses that voted for him and say, this blood is on your hands too.

Repubicans Protect Bush, Screw the Hurricane Victims

Hurricane Katrina

When asked if they would like an independent bipartisan investigation into the response to Hurricane Katrina, 74% of Americans said YES, yet last night, Republicans killed the legislation that would have done just that.

Every single Republican voted it down, the only one that did not was the Senator from Louisiana, who just did not vote. This highlights a disturbing fact about the Republicans. First, they do not care that they are there to represent the people of the United States, if they did, and 64% of Americans want this legislation to pass, then why did they kill it. In short, the Republicans loath reprehensive government, they want to rule you like kings. The second disturbing fact is that this Republican Senate is willing to deny this nation the chance to learn from it’s mistakes in order to protect a failing, embarrassment of a Republican President.

People what happen last night was a clear message; I would rather protect Bush than to make sure that the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina does not happen again. They choose Bush over you, again.

Sadly, November of 2000 put this great nation on a track of destruction. Four years later the fundamentalist whack-jobs used fear and a tangle of lies to scare people into voting for this nut bag again.
